ICAEW Legal Services Regulations, effective 1 June 2023

The Legal Services Act 2007 permits two methods by which a firm may undertake probate work, as an authorised firm in which case all of the principals (and shareholders in the case of a company) have to be individually authorised to undertake probate work, as a licensed firm if all the principals (and shareholders in the case of a company) are not individually authorised to undertake probate work. Additional requirements then apply.
