The Institutes (The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (‘ICAEW’), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland operating as Chartered Accountants Ireland (‘ICAI’) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (‘ICAS’)) are all Recognised Supervisory Bodies (‘RSBs’) in the UK for the purposes of regulating auditors. The Institutes must have rules setting out how auditors are regulated, which this booklet contains, with guidance on how they should be followed.
