UK Audit Regulations and Guidance, effective from 1 January 2021

On 31 January 2020 the UK ceased to be a member of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). As a consequence EU Audit Regulation 537/2014 is no longer directly applied in the UK, but most of the content of that Regulation has been transposed into UK law through The Statutory Auditors and Third Country Auditors (amendment)(EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (as amended) taking effect on 1 January 2021.
